Job summary

Scantec is seeking an experienced M&E Construction Manager with a strong electrical bias to deliver major construction projects for a nuclear end client. This Tier 1 contractor-side role requires hands-on site delivery, the ability to challenge engineering information and support resolution of design and construction queries.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an M&E, MEP or Electrical Construction Manager within a main contractor or Tier 1 construction environment.
• Strong electrical installation, cabling and associated systems knowledge.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work packages and site interfaces.
• Understanding of how construction projects are planned, sequenced, controlled and delivered.
• Ability to interpret and review drawings, specifications and other technical information.
• Experience supporting or resolving TQs, RFIs, design changes and construction queries.
• Confidence to engage directly with clients, designers, engineers and senior stakeholders.
• Site-focused approach and involvement in construction delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate M&E construction activities from planning through to completion.
• Ensure safe, efficient and timely delivery of M&E works on site.
• Coordinate specialist subcontractors to meet programme, quality and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with client, design teams and project team to manage interfaces and resolve issues.
• Review drawings, specifications and submissions for electrical scope.
• Contribute to the preparation and resolution of TQs, RFIs and design queries.
• Provide practical technical input for design clarifications or amendments.
• Monitor progress, quality, compliance and readiness of works.
• Coordinate M&E with civil, structural, architectural disciplines.
