A leading training provider in the electrical industry is seeking a qualified electrician to join their team as a lecturer. This role involves training apprentices at the Bracknell centre, providing comprehensive support and mentorship. The position offers flexible working hours and opportunities for career progression, along with a competitive salary starting at £38,000, increasing with qualifications and experience.
Job Description
Clarkson Evans is the largest electrical and solar installer working in the new build housing sector, wiring over 24,000 homes a year. Established over 40 years ago, we now employ more than 850 staff across the UK and collaborate with the country’s major house builders. Training apprentices is a core part of our ethos.
Through our award-winning in-house training, we’re proud to continually develop newcomers to the electrical industry.
If you’re a qualified electrician with a knack for sharing your knowledge with apprentices, apply now to join our training team and begin a rewarding new chapter in your career. At our purpose-built centres, we train all of our own apprentices. With their numbers on the rise, we’re looking to expand our team by recruiting someone who’d like to put their years of electrical experience to use in a new field.
We will provide comprehensive on-the-job training, fully fund your teaching qualifications, and offer mentorship from experienced team members—many of whom transitioned from hands-on roles into teaching.
This role is based at our Bracknell teaching centre, with occasional travel to Gloucester required, typically for one day per week. Overnight accommodation will be arranged as needed.
Our training team is predominantly based in Gloucester, but we also deliver apprentice training in other locations. While this role specifically focuses on Bracknell and Gloucester, flexibility for occasional travel between these two centres is essential.
Salary for electricians new to teaching starts at £38,000, increasing over time as teaching qualifications and experience are gained. Flexible working hours are available, with both full and part-time candidates considered.
The safeguarding of our apprentices is of paramount importance, and all candidates must provide 2 references. Successful applicants will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before starting the position.
Clarkson Evans is an equal opportunities employer. We value diversity and welcome applications from all backgrounds. If you have any special requirements to assist with the application process, please let us know.
