Job summary

Platform Property Care is seeking a Lead Engineer - Electrical to cover Nottingham, Newark and surrounding areas. You will act as technical lead for electrical services, spending most time on repairs, installations and testing, with responsibility for coaching apprentices and guiding the trade workforce.

You will ensure compliance, drive quality and promote best practice, while developing others and leading on health and safety standards across our teams.

Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 and City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Commissioning and Certification.
• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent qualification in Inspection and Testing.
• AM2 qualification.
• 18th Edition regulation.
• Additional trade qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of electrical repairs, testing, inspection and maintenance work within customers' homes and communal areas.
• Manage jobs from inspection through to completion, ensuring excellent customer service throughout.
• Support colleagues through coaching, mentoring and skills development.
• Assess and sign off colleagues against our multi-skill framework and support apprentices through their End Point Assessments (EPA).
• Promote consistent trade standards and best practice across Platform Property Care.
• Work alongside Learning & Development teams to support trade training and upskilling initiatives.
• Conduct trade audits, reviews and quality assessments to ensure compliance and high standards.
• Act as a technical expert and escalation point for trade-related queries.
• Monitor industry developments, legislation and emerging technologies to support continuous improvement and enhance service delivery.
