Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an Electrical Lead to join the Thames AMP8/AMP9 Portfolio. The role provides electrical design authority across a £150M+ capital portfolio for Thames Water, including major treatment works upgrades.

Based across the Thames Water Region, the role involves leading the engineering leadership team, delivering electrical design excellence, and mentoring engineers. Hours are 45 per week with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• HV/LV electrical design authority in water/utilities.
• BS 7671 knowledge (18th Edition).
• CDM 2015 designer obligations experience.
• MCC/RTU design and PLC/SCADA interfaces knowledge.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sign-off for all electrical design across active schemes.
• Coordinate with electrical supply chain partners and ICA Lead.
• Discharge CDM duties and contribute to Safer by Design program.
• Mentor electrical engineers and develop competency framework.
• Support DfMA initiatives and attend governance meetings.
