Job summary

Tyne Coast College is seeking a Lecturer in Electrical Installations to join the STEM and Motor Vehicle Department on a permanent basis. The post involves delivering programmes up to Level 3, planning engaging lessons, and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.

The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, with a salary scale of £34,668 to £44,992 per annum and 864 teaching hours per year. Candidates should have strong practical electrical skills, Industry experience, and relevant

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Electrical Installation theory and practice.
• Experience teaching or training learners in a college or similar setting.
• Understanding of City & Guilds qualifications up to Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Electrical Installation programmes up to Level 3.
• Plan and prepare engaging learning activities and resources.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support students through tutorials and pastoral responsibilities.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Engage with employers and industry partners to enhance opportunities for learners.
• Promote high standards of achievement, attendance and behaviour.
• Participate in marketing, recruitment and student engagement activities.
