Job summary

Sunderland College is seeking experienced electricians to teach Electrical Installation up to Level 3. The role is 37 hours per week, with about 24 hours of timetabled teaching and 13 hours for planning, assessment and curriculum development.

Classes typically have around 16 students, offering hands-on, workshop-based learning and industry-aligned assessments. You may be an experienced lecturer or an electrician considering teaching for the first time.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with strong practical and theoretical knowledge of Electrical Installation.
• Willingness to transition into teaching and develop relevant teaching qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Electrical Installation up to Level 3 through a mix of classroom theory and workshop-based learning.
• Tutor and support approximately 16 students per class.
• Contribute to curriculum development, planning, assessment and quality assurance.
