Tyne Coast College is seeking a Lecturer in Electrical Installations to join the STEM and Motor Vehicle Department on a permanent basis. The post involves delivering programmes up to Level 3, planning engaging lessons, and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.

The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, with a salary scale of £34,668 to £44,992 per annum and 864 teaching hours per year. Candidates should have strong practical electrical skills, Industry experience, and relevant

About the Role

As a Lecturer in Electrical Installation, you will develop and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of programmes. You will work closely with colleagues, employers and industry partners to ensure learners receive an engaging and relevant educational experience that prepares them for employment and further study.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

Essential Requirements

• Excellent subject knowledge and practical skills in Electrical Installation.
• A relevant Electrical Installation qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Relevant industrial experience within the electrical sector.
• Experience of teaching, training or assessing learners.
• Knowledge and experience of City & Guilds qualifications up to Level 3.
• Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
• A commitment to delivering an outstanding learner experience.
• A teaching qualification, or willingness to achieve one within an agreed timescale.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards these.
• A strong commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding.

Desirable Requirements

• A higher-level subject specialist qualification.
• Assessor and/or Internal Verifier qualifications.
• Experience of apprenticeships and apprenticeship standards.
• Knowledge of T Levels within Building Services.
• Industry contacts and employer engagement experience.Evidence of successful course leadership and ongoing professional development.
