Job summary

Tyne Coast College is seeking an experienced Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join our Construction team. You will deliver Electrical Installation qualifications up to Level 3 and support learners to achieve their potential.

You will develop and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of programmes, working with employers to ensure industry-ready skills and a positive learner experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent subject knowledge and practical skills in Electrical Installation.
• A relevant Electrical Installation qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Experience of teaching, training or assessing learners.
• Knowledge of City & Guilds qualifications up to Level 3.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Commitment to delivering an outstanding learner experience.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to achieve one within an agreed timescale.

Responsibilities

• Delivering Electrical Installation programmes up to Level 3.
• Planning and preparing engaging learning activities and resources.
• Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Supporting students through tutorial and pastoral responsibilities.
• Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement activities.
• Working with employers and industry partners to enhance learner opportunities.
• Promoting high standards of achievement, attendance and behaviour.
• Participating in marketing, recruitment and student engagement activities.
