Job summary

New City College is seeking an experienced Lecturer in Electrical Installation to teach learners across Level 1 to Level 3, including 16 to 18 provision, adult learners and apprenticeships. You will develop learners’ practical skills and confidence from induction to progression.

You will deliver high-quality teaching, assess and provide feedback, and work with employers and awarding bodies to support progression and curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with 18th Edition and teaching or assessor qualification advantageous.
• Experience delivering electrical qualifications across Level 1–3 and apprenticeship programmes.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, training and assessment across accredited Electrical qualifications, both in College and on employers’ premises.
• Plan and deliver engaging learner-centred programmes developing knowledge and vocational skills.
• Assess learners and apprentices with regular feedback, guidance and tutorial support.
• Develop schemes of work, assessment plans, learning outcomes and individual learning plans.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate course, assessment and training records.
• Collaborate with employers, awarding bodies and colleagues to support delivery and development.
