Job summary

Dovetail and Slate in Middlesex invites applications for a Lecturer in Electrical Installation. This full-time post supports the School of Engineering - Technology and Innovation as we open new industry-standard facilities in 2026.

You will deliver practical workshops and theory for City & Guilds Electrical Installation, assess learners, support progression, and help recruit future students while upholding high health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Teaching and assessment experience preferred.
• Strong subject knowledge in Electrical Installation.
• Willingness to undertake further teacher training on the job.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, deliver, and assess practical workshop sessions and theory lessons for Electrical Installation courses.
• Conduct academic progress reviews, inductions, and tutoring for learner retention and progression.
• Maintain health and safety standards in workshops and develop schemes of work and digital learning resources.
• Participate in open evenings, applicant interviews, and recruitment events.
