Dn Colleges Group in Scunthorpe is recruiting an Electrical Installation Lecturer to join our Engineering team. You will deliver high-quality teaching across Electrical Installation programmes and support students to achieve their potential with creative learning methods.

We welcome both experienced lecturers and industry professionals transitioning into teaching and offer support to gain a recognised teaching qualification.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
• Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of Electrical Installation programmes and industry practices.
• Ability to deliver engaging learning experiences and motivate students to achieve their potential.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, with strong communication and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across Electrical Installation programmes.
• Act as a Programme Tutor, providing academic and pastoral support to a designated caseload of students.
• Monitor student progress, attendance and achievement, maintaining accurate records and assessment information.
• Develop innovative and engaging learning experiences using a range of teaching methodologies and learning technologies.
• Embed English and Maths within vocational learning to support student success.
• Build and maintain strong links with industry partners to enhance curriculum delivery and progression opportunities.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement activities and student recruitment events including Open Days and information sessions.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment that supports student achievement and wellbeing.
