Job summary

Hugh Baird College in Liverpool invites applications for a Lecturer in Electrical Installation to deliver Level 1–3 training across 16–18 learners, adult students and apprentices at the Port Academy Building, Liverpool.

The successful candidate will bring strong trade expertise, practical teaching ability, and be willing to work towards a teaching qualification to support curriculum development within the Building Services team.

Qualifications

• FE teaching experience or ability to teach in Further Education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage learners.
• Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Levels 1–3.
• Assess and support learners to achieve their goals.
• Provide constructive feedback to learners.
• Maintain accurate course records and documentation.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to develop the next generation of electricians.
