Job summary

Hugh Baird College is seeking two committed Electrical Installation Lecturers to join our Building Services team. You will deliver high-quality teaching across Levels 1-3 to 16-18 learners, adult students and apprentices.

The role requires strong trade expertise and at least some teaching experience due to curriculum needs. We welcome industry entrants, but one appointment requires prior teaching or training experience.

Qualifications

• Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma qualifications in Electrical Installation.
• AMI2/AM2 equivalent recognition for apprenticeship delivery.
• A valid 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Recent and relevant industry experience in Electrical Installation.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across Levels 1–3.
• Assessing and supporting learners to achieve their goals.
• Providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate course records.
• Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Joining a supportive team to develop the next generation of electricians.
