Job summary

Henry Blue Ltd is seeking an Electronics/Electrical Installation lecturer to join the Engineering and Built Environment team. You will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Electrical Installation programmes, helping learners develop the skills and knowledge needed for the industry.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, connect theory with industry practice and assess learners' work, providing constructive feedback and monitoring progress.

The Role

Working within the Engineering and Built Environment team, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Electrical Installation programmes, helping learners develop the skills and knowledge needed for the industry.

• Teach Electrical Installation across Levels 1–3, with the potential to contribute to T Level provision.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons and practical learning activities that connect theory with industry practice.
• Use your industry knowledge to make the curriculum relevant to current workplace expectations and career opportunities.
• Assess learners’ work, provide constructive feedback and monitor their progress and achievement.
• Prepare and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans, learning resources and assessment materials.
• Support learners with different needs and abilities, helping them build confidence and make progress.
• Work with colleagues to embed Maths and English within the vocational curriculum.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Electrical Installation and developments within the industry.
• Develop industry links and maintain professional practice within your specialist area.
• Contribute to quality assurance, internal verification, standardisation and course reviews.
• Support student recruitment activities, open evenings and other College events.
• Contribute to the development of Electrical Installation provision and new curriculum initiatives
