Job summary

Office Owls Recruitment Limited seeks an Electrical Test & Inspector for the Glasgow area to perform comprehensive EICRs across commercial and industrial sites. The role requires strong understanding of electrical systems, regulations, and hazard reporting.

You will document findings, recommend remedial actions, and communicate results to clients with clear, actionable guidance. A proactive, safety‑minded professional with a minimum of 3 years’ experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience carrying out EICRs.
• City & Guilds 2391-52 or equivalent for inspection and testing.
• NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition qualification.
• In-depth knowledge of BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial/industrial settings.
• Inspect and test electrical systems including wiring, circuits, switchgear and control equipment.
• Identify and document defects, non-compliances and safety hazards.
• Provide clear reports with remedial action recommendations.
• Ensure inspections comply with BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• Communicate findings clearly to clients and provide technical guidance.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
