Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical & ICA Design Engineer to join a leading engineering organisation in the water and wastewater sector. You will coordinate designs and produce technical documentation and drawings to meet project specifications and health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline; a degree in an appropriate engineering discipline would be advantageous.
• Proven ability to develop rationalised, practical and economical plant layouts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of technical information.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop design layouts that are cost-effective, practical to construct and commission, and aligned with project specifications.
• Apply standard engineering practices and solutions where appropriate.
• Provide technical estimates, input and feedback to support tender and proposal activities.
• Coordinate designs with other internal and external engineering disciplines for integrated project delivery.
• Maintain a strong customer-focused approach with external clients and internal teams.
• Ensure environmental considerations are incorporated into engineering designs.
