Advance TRS, a UK-based energy consultancy, is seeking an Energy Consultant (Electrical) to help deliver infrastructure and power systems for low-carbon projects in the Manchester or Sheffield region. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team on grid integration, energy storage, and decarbonisation initiatives, building expertise in electrical power systems.

Qualifications

• MEng in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Strong fundamentals in Power Systems, Electrical Distribution Networks, and Electrical Infrastructure Design.
• Experience or understanding of grid connection processes, grid capacity, and working with DNOs/TSOs.
• Interest in energy transition, renewables, electrification, and low-carbon infrastructure.

Responsabilités

• Support modelling of electrical power systems.
• Assist feasibility studies and early-stage infrastructure design.
• Contribute to HV grid connection studies and network assessments.
• Develop technical reports, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
• Support the design and assessment of electrical infrastructure solutions.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver low-carbon energy projects.
