Job summary

Advance TRS is seeking an Energy Consultant (Electrical) to help deliver electrical infrastructure and power systems for UK decarbonisation projects. You will work across renewables, DNOs, and energy developers to deliver grid integration and electrification initiatives.

The role emphasizes building expertise in power systems, grid studies, and technical reporting while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design low-carbon solutions.

Qualifications

• MEng in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems focus.
• Strong fundamentals in Power Systems, Electrical Distribution Networks, and Electrical Infrastructure Design.
• Understanding of grid connection processes, grid capacity and network constraints.
• Interest in energy transition, renewable energy, electrification, and low-carbon infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support technical analysis and modelling of electrical power systems.
• Assist with feasibility studies and early-stage infrastructure design.
• Contribute to HV grid connection studies and network assessments.
• Develop technical reports, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
• Support the design and assessment of electrical infrastructure solutions.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative low-carbon energy projects.
• Help clients understand electrical requirements of renewable generation, energy storage, and decarbonisation strategies.
