Job summary

Staffline is seeking an Electrical Facilities Technician to perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair on electrical systems across lighting, power distribution, control panels and fire protection. You will assist in installing new electrical equipment and systems.

You will work a dayshift, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with an on-call rota every 5/6 weekends. The role requires a recognised apprenticeship and City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification

Qualifications

• Experience performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance of electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults and repair electrical equipment in industrial/commercial settings.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, standards and safety regulations, including BS 7671.

• Adhere to electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations (BS 7671, HSE)
• Participate in risk assessments and promote safe work practices
• Participate in the company on-call rota on weekends
• Train site apprentices to a high level of competency
• Improve maintenance and operational efficiency via CMMS systems
• Carry out and monitor work execution safely and efficiently
• Adhere to PM plans to ensure reliability and compliance

Job description

Our client is currently recruiting an Electrical Facilities Technician who will perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair faults on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, control panels and fire protection systems. You will also assist in the installation of new electrical equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g. BS 7671, HSE guidelines
• Participate in risk assessments and contribute to safe work practices.
• Participate in the Company on call rota
• Utilise safely and train site apprentices to a high level of competency.
• Improving maintenance and operational efficiencies through the application of Preventative and Emerging Work Management as required by the business CMMS systems
• Carry out and monitor work execution in a safe and efficient manner.
• Adhere to the plan of PMs to ensure reliability of equipment and PM compliance, ensuring safe working practises are always adhered to

Qualifications/Experience:

• Industrial/Commercial (preferred) or domestic electrical experience
• Completed a four-year recognised apprenticeship (Essential)
• SVQ Level 3 Electrician
• City & Guilds 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BD7671:2018) (Essential)

Dayshift - Mon - Fri 40 hours per week.
