Job summary

Gold Group in Manchester seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to maintain building systems, perform PPMs, and oversee subcontractors. You should hold NVQ Levels 2 & 3 Electrical Installation with AM2/JIB/ECS Gold Card, and possess BMS, PAT, and HVAC experience to ensure high compliance and reliability.

The role focuses on fault finding, safety, and reliability of electrical services within a facilities management environment in the Manchester area.

Qualifications

• NVQ Levels 2 & 3 Electrical Installation required.
• AM2 or JIB/ECS Gold Card required.
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Test preferred.
• PAT testing experience desirable.
• HVAC maintenance and repair experience.
• BMS operation and interrogation knowledge.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete all statutory and non-statutory PPM in line with planners and SLAs.
• Use CAFM systems for reactive and PPM tasks.
• Keep site logbooks up to date with relevant information and certifications.
• Identify maintenance needs and produce technical reports on equipment.
• Respond to reactive calls via Service desk and update Admin team.
• Read RAMS and complete additional RAMS for large works.
• Supervise/escort subcontractors and ensure RAMs compliance.
• Timely completion of all company forms and documentation.
• Comply with Company Policies and Procedures.
• Assist team with multi-person tasks.

Brief

Electrical Engineer needed for a large, well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Manchester who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Electrical Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of maintenance, repairs, fault finding and inspection of building and electrical services, associated systems, and equipment. The successful candidate would have a relevant qualification - i.e. NVQ Levels 2 & 3 Electrical Installation & AM2/JIB Gold Card etc. - and have a keen interest in Electrical Engineering. If you have experience in a retail environment that would be a plus!

What the role entails:

• Complete all statutory and non-statutory PPM in accordance with annual PPM planners and task instruction sets and customers SLA's & KA's.
• Experience of using CAFM systems to complete reactive and PPM tasks in line with our SLA's & KPI's.
• Ensure all site logbooks are kept up to date with the relevant information and certification.
• To identify maintenance needs and produce technical reports on equipment.
• To respond & repair any reactive calls raised through the dedicated Service desk and provide relevant task information to the Administration team to ensure all jobs are resolved to the satisfaction Ofthe customer and within the Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• To read, understand and work to generic site PPM risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), completing any additional RAMS for any large works not covered or a point of work general risk assessments for smaner tasks.
• Supervise/escort subcontractors whist on site ensuring they follow site security procedures, ensuring work to their RAMs and within safe working procedures.
• The timely completion of all company forms and statutory documentation, including record keeping and technical reporting.
• To comply with the requirements of the Company's Policies and Procedures
• Assist Other members of the team where multi person tasks are required.

What experience you need to be the successful Electrical Engineer:

• NVQ Levels 2 & 3 Electrical Installation.
• AM2 or JIB/ECS Gold Card
• Qualified to 3S#removed#th Edition Regulations.
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Test. (not essential)
• Inspection and Testing of electrical equipment (PAT testing) BS2377 (not essential)
• Asbestos awareness (preferable but not essential).
• PAF powered Access Licence (preferable but not essential).
• PASMA (preferable but not essential).
• First aid trained (preferable but not essential).
• Be computer literate, including operation Of Handheld PDA
• Maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment.
