Job summary

Porterbrook is seeking an exceptional Electrical & ETCS Systems Engineer to join our Derby, London and Long Marston teams. You will act as the centre of expertise for electrical & ETCS systems on traction and rolling stock, leading investigations, and partnering on strategic projects to deliver value for the business.

You’ll coordinate internal workstreams, manage external consultants and suppliers, and ensure safety, quality, cost and schedule targets are met across multiple fleets and

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Extensive knowledge of ETCS and electrical systems.
• Experience with railway rolling stock, suppliers and industry players.

Responsibilities

• Act as Porterbrook’s centre of expertise for electrical & ETCS systems on Traction & rolling-stock.
• Lead or support technical investigations into equipment failures and warranty claims.
• Act as a technical project partner for allocated projects to support business objectives.
• Lead internal technical workstreams and coordinate external consultants and suppliers.
• Manage and deliver engineering change proposals and ensure safety, quality, cost, and timescales.
