Job summary

Pertemps Redditch Industrial Bromsgrove-based manufacturer of modular electrical power distribution products seeks an Electrical Estimator to join the commercial team. You will analyse engineering drawings, project specifications, and single-line diagrams to produce accurate estimates and commercial proposals for pre-fabricated systems.

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong maths skills with understanding of margins, markups, and contracts.
Proficient IT skills and competency with cost estimation tools.

Responsibilities

Interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and project specs to determine system requirements.
Quantify modular conductor runs and distribution components for cost estimates.
Factor raw materials, labour, and freight into bids and proposals.
Prepare clear, professional commercial bids and technical proposals.
Suggest alternate modular configurations to reduce costs or installation time while preserving margin.
Collaborate with design engineering for feasibility and hand over projects to management and production.
