Job description

Due to continued expansion, our client, a successful M&E contractor, has an immediate vacancy for an Electrical Estimator to join their highly successful Pre-Contract team based at their offices in Warrington.
Our client provides design and installation of mechanical and electrical services, predominantly delivering schemes in the Residential, Commercial, Education, Leisure, Industrial, and Energy Sectors.
As a specialist, they provide quick turnaround of tender & preconstruction information and therefore this is a permanent office-based position; however, occasional flexible/home working is offered where the workload permits.

Responsibilities
  1. Production of detailed tender bids and cost plans
  2. Attending mid and post tender meetings
  3. Post tender control
  4. Interfacing with both our existing and prospective new clients
  5. Communication and interfacing with sub-contractor and supplier companies, using existing companies and generating new leads

The position will involve the day-to-day management of the tender process to ensure standards are maintained and deadlines are met. Whilst electrically biased, the position also would benefit from a basic knowledge of mechanical engineering services. Candidates will need to demonstrate relevant experience and will ideally have worked in a wide range of sectors as detailed above. Familiarity with project requirements for BREEAM, Nabers, Part L, and Smart Building Technologies is desirable.

  9. Computer literate with experience of “Estimation” software or similar
  10. Issuing/updating tender documents via an electronic control system
  11. Willing and able to work as part of a team with personal skills to promote good relationships and a friendly working environment
  12. Ensuring quality standards are maintained in accordance with company QA policies
  13. Working in an integrated M&E team
