Job summary

A prominent food manufacturer in Shrewsbury is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team. You'll play a vital role in a large scale automation project while being involved in various engineering functions. The ideal candidate will possess recognised qualifications in electrical engineering and should have experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment as well as certification in 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations. Competitive salary between £50,000 and £55,000 offered.

The role

We're working with an incredibly exciting food manufacturer in Shropshire looking to add to their Engineering team. They've just signed off on a large scale automation project and you'll play a key role in bringing it to life. You'll be part of a hands on engineering team and will get involved in all aspects of the engineering function. This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to expose themselves to site wide engineering processes as well as be a key part in a large CapEx project.

Requirements

• Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, or equivalent).
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification required.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred.
• Experience with PLCs (e.g., Packaging Automation) and motor control systems is advantageous.

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Working days: Mon - Fri Days
