Job summary

Babcock invites talented students to join its SSE team in Bristol for a 12-week internship supporting maintenance of in-service submarines and providing technical engineering support to the Ministry of Defence.

You’ll apply your degree studies in Electrical, Control and Instrumentation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Aerospace, Avionics or Software, gaining hands-on experience and the potential to join our graduate programme after a successful placement.

Qualifications

• Must be studying towards a degree in Electrical Engineering, Control and Instrumentation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Aerospace, Avionics or Software.
• Security clearance requirements: BPSS and SC clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to engineering challenges across defence projects, including submarine maintenance and nuclear projects.
• Apply academic knowledge to real-world scenarios and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support safe and effective submarine operations.
