Job summary

Babcock International Group is offering a 12-week internship in the Submarine Support Engineering (SSE) team, based in the UK. You will gain exposure to maintenance of in-service submarines and provide technical engineering support to the Ministry of Defence, applying your university knowledge to real‑world scenarios.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop practical skills, and could be considered for our graduate programme.

Qualifications

• Must be studying towards a degree in Electrical Engineering, Control and Instrumentation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Aerospace, Avionics, or Software.
• Security clearance requirements include BPSS and Security Check (SC); UK national residency may apply.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Submarine Support Engineering (SSE) team on maintenance of in-service submarines.
• Support delivery of engineering solutions for the UK submarine fleet in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Apply academic knowledge to real-world defence engineering challenges and nuclear projects.
