Job summary

Ashton Recruitment is recruiting for an Electrical Engineering Manager in Northern Ireland. Lead the electrical engineering team, oversee design to production, and drive improvements across projects to meet quality, safety and cost targets.

The role demands a degree in electrical engineering, 7+ years of leadership, and strong CAD/engineering delivery experience in heavy equipment or manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years' leadership experience within an engineering environment.
• Significant electrical design experience in heavy equipment, vehicle or manufacturing.
• Strong experience with 2D/3D CAD platforms (EPlan, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, DraftSight).
• Experience managing projects across full product development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of regulated environments and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing the electrical engineering team.
• Managing projects from concept and detailed design through to production release.
• Allocating engineering resources across multiple projects.
• Providing technical guidance and approving electrical design outputs.
• Leading design reviews and overseeing verification and validation activities.
• Collaborating with Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering to resolve issues.
• Supporting value engineering and design standardisation.
• Overseeing Engineering Change Order processes.
• Driving improvements in processes, workflows and standards.
• Developing and monitoring KPIs relating to delivery, quality, efficiency and cost.
• Supporting recruitment and career development within the team.
