Job summary

Ashton Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer in Northern Ireland to join the engineering team.

You will design and develop electrical and electronic systems for new products, ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory and safety standards. The role requires a HND or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and at least five years of post-graduate experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or EPLAN and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Eligible with HND or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Eng.
• Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in electrical design.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or EPLAN software.
• Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics, wiring harnesses and panel layouts.
• Produce technical docs, drawings and parts lists.
• Carry out design analyses, simulations and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for practical solutions.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory and safety standards.
