Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Water team in High Wycombe or Brighton. You will support electrical and EICA design across water infrastructure projects, collaborating with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

You will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, develop technical knowledge through mentoring, and have opportunities to progress toward chartered status within a collaborative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in electrical engineering design within water, utilities, infrastructure or a similar engineering environment.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and design standards.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive approach to learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with electrical and EICA design from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
• Producing design calculations, drawings, schedules and technical specifications.
• Supporting the development of Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams and Network Infrastructure Diagrams.
• Working alongside project managers, clients and contractors to deliver coordinated engineering solutions.
• Participating in design reviews, site visits and technical workshops.
• Continuously developing your technical knowledge through structured learning and mentoring.
