Job summary

EMR Group is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our maintenance team. This site-based role focuses on reactive, predictive, and planned electrical maintenance across our operations, ensuring plant reliability, safety and performance.

Working hours are Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed to meet operational demands. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, diagnose faults in motors, drives, control panels, and PLCs, and ensure safe isolation and

Qualifications

Proven experience maintaining and fault-finding on industrial electrical systems in heavy industrial settings.
Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and electrical fault diagnosis.
Ability to work independently with strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
Diagnose and repair faults on electrical systems including motors, drives, control panels, conveyors, shredders, balers, and related equipment.
Maintain and fault-find on three-phase power systems, control circuits, PLCs, inverters, sensors, and instrumentation.
Demonstrate safe isolation and LOTOTO procedures.
Follow OEM maintenance schedules, technical documentation, and company procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and reduce downtime.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, contractors, and operations teams to minimise production disruption.
