Job summary

Redmore Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for our client in Needham. You will perform electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and planned preventive maintenance across plant equipment to maximise uptime and efficiency.

The role includes a structured training period followed by a shift pattern (6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm) with a shift allowance; there is one paid overtime Saturday per month.

Qualifications

• Time-served Electrical Apprenticeship is required.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Experience with PLCs, inverters, motors, drives and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• 18th Edition Electrical Qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical repairs.
• Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose faults on PLCs, drives, motors, sensors, and control panels.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Support condition monitoring and reliability improvement activities.
• Assist with equipment installation, upgrades and commissioning.
• Identify recurring faults and implement corrective actions.
• Recommend improvements to enhance plant performance and reliability.
• Follow Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety regulations.
• Report hazards, near misses and incidents promptly.
