Job summary

Fortna is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and document electrical and pneumatic controls for Material Handling Systems (MHS). You will lead the electrical engineering work stream on projects, providing input to design reviews, and ensuring high quality deliverables in alignment with Fortna’s Integrated Design Methodology.

Qualifications

• Relevant design qualification with suitable industry experience in electrical design of complex automated material handling systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCad, E-Plan and Promis-e for drawings.
• Experience with MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of conveyor control processes and integration with MHS.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium scope projects through detail design and implementation phases.
• Provide electrical system input during design reviews to ensure requirements are understood.
• Support transition from Detailed Design to Final Engineering.
• Contribute to DOO & FSD documentation with Electrical input.
• Facilitate project meetings; prepare agendas and minutes.
• Develop electrical work plans and ensure milestone achievements.
• Lead electrical prototype efforts for less complex solutions.
