Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an Electrical Design & Controls Engineer to design, build, and deploy control systems for a range of automation machinery. You will manage projects across the full lifecycle from AutoCAD schematics and PLC coding to on-site commissioning.

Role requires 3+ years in electrical/controls design, proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, and knowledge of machinery safety standards and industrial protocols. Experience with robotics or motion control is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electrical/controls design for industrial automation.
• Solid understanding of machinery safety standards and industrial protocols (Profinet, Profibus, EtherNet/IP, IO-Link, TCP/IP).
• Hands-on diagnostic, build-support, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Design: Create schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams to EU/UK standards using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Control Systems: Specify electrical components, safety hardware, and industrial communication architecture.
• Programming & Integration: Develop and debug PLC software for automated machinery.
• Build & Commissioning: Support panel wiring, conduct electrical testing, and commission systems at customer sites.
• Project Support: Coordinate with suppliers, deliver project documentation, and troubleshoot machine builds.
