Job summary

Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to major UK construction projects in power generation, water treatment, and energy infrastructure. You will assess risks, develop method statements, and define installation processes with safety at the core.

You will work on large-scale sites, perform CDM assessments, and ensure electrical safety systems of work are applied. A degree and relevant accreditations are preferred, with BPSS clearance required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree or equivalent training and experience.
• Professional accreditation is advantageous.
• IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certification.
• Experience with Electrical Safe Systems of Work.
• Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Produce risk assessments and method statements for packages of works.
• Create clear installation instructions and required checks for equipment.
• Select appropriate construction methodologies and strategies.
• Carry out constructability studies including CDM assessments.
• Specify site requirements including temporary works and buildings.
