Job summary

Crown Peterborough is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a shift-based, site-focused role in Peterborough. You will maintain and optimise electrical systems to keep the production line running with minimal downtime, while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering (electrical bias), plus experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and fault‑finding in high-speed manufacturing. A proactive, collaborative mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Formal apprenticeship or equivalent in electrical engineering with a bias towards electrical/mechatronic systems.
• Proven fault-finding experience in high-speed manufacturing environments.
• Experience with PLC programming and electrical control systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise electrical systems across the plant to minimize production disruption.
• Perform fault-finding, repairs, installation and modification of equipment.
• Analyse line performance, update PLC software, and support continuous improvement to maximise output and reliability.
