Job summary

Hoare Lea is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer to deliver high-quality, sustainable electrical design across multiple built-environment projects in Birmingham. You will lead briefs, produce calculations and drawings, and coordinate with MEP teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering.
• Working toward or holding IEng/CEng.
• Strong ability to develop electrical design calculations and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Take briefs and deliver electrical design work from inception through to completion.
• Produce electrical calculations, drawings and technical documentation that comply with relevant regulations, design guides and client standards.
• Coordinate electrical design with other disciplines (MEP) and third‑party consultants.
• Review contractor submissions and witness testing/commissioning; ensure design intent is met.
• Manage own workload to meet programme deliverables and report progress.
• Contribute to the professional development of junior colleagues.
