Job summary
Hoare Lea is recruiting an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer for Bournemouth or Reading offices. You will lead electrical design across multiple built-environment projects, coordinating with MEP specialists and clients while delivering robust, sustainable solutions.
The role supports junior staff and offers a flexible, hybrid working pattern. Ideal candidates will hold a degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering, work towards IEng/CEng, and demonstrate strong LV distribution,
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering.
- Working towards or holding IEng/CEng.
- Strong technical competence in LV distribution and lighting.
- Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD and electrical design tools.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Take briefs and deliver electrical design from inception to completion.
- Produce calculations, drawings and documentation to standard.
- Coordinate with MEP disciplines and third‑party consultants.
- Review contractor submissions and site witness testing.
- Support handover documentation and project progress reporting.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth.
