Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading manufacturing group based in Diss, Norfolk. The role covers maintenance and improvement of electrical and automation systems across sites, with a focus on fault finding, PLCs, drives, and safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ3 or higher in electrical/electronic engineering, a time-served apprenticeship, and a track record in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced electrical/electronics engineer.
• Knowledge of electrical safety, isolation and LOTO procedures.
• PLC fault finding, troubleshooting and modifications - Siemens.
• Ideally have completed a time-served apprenticeship.
• Must have worked in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and interpret electrical & control schematics.
• Worked on circuits, inverters, instrumentation, control panels, variable speed drives, HMIs.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with complex electrical & electronic breakdowns and repairs.
• Working on automation & controls, HMIs, production & packaging machinery.
• PLC - electrical fault finding, troubleshooting & modifications to existing code.
• Fault finding & interrogation of circuits, variable speed drives, AC drives, control panels, inverters.
• Electrical isolation, safety and LOTO.
• Upgrade projects - installation, testing, inspection & commissioning.

They are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide solutions and solve problems on all the sites electrical & automation systems.

Role & Responsibilities
