Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Technician for an on-site role in Winsford. You will join the engineering team to maintain HV machinery, perform routine and reactive maintenance, and ensure uptime of PLC-controlled automated equipment.

The role requires apprentice training or Level 3 NVQ/HNC/ONC, PLC knowledge, and experience with HV electrical infrastructure. You will work closely with mechanical colleagues to support critical systems.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or Level 3 NVQ or HNC/ONC qualified.
• Knowledge of PLC controlled equipment.
• Comfortable carrying out fault finding on electrical systems.
• Good knowledge of HV electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and reactive maintenance on HV machinery to minimise downtime.
• Work closely with the mechanical team to support HV electrical infrastructure and PLC controlled equipment.
• Carry out fault finding on electrical systems and implement timely fixes.
• Support continuous uptime and reliability of heavy electrical equipment.

Hunter are partnered with a well established and interesting business in Winsford. Working with heavy electrical equipment, you will join the engineering team to ensure smooth operation of HV machinery. You will carry out routine and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime. Working closely with the mechanical team, you will be responsible for the HV electrical infrasturcture including PLC controlled automated equipment.

Requirements

• Apprentice trained, or level 3 NVQ or HNC / ONC qualified
• Other electrical qualifications are beneficial
• Knowledge of PLC controlled equipment
• Comfortable carrying out fault finding on electrical systems
• Good knowledge of HV electrical infrastructure
