Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd represents a leading UK facilities management contractor recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join a diverse team delivering both planned and reactive FM maintenance across various sites in the UK.

You will perform PPM, diagnose faults, maintain records, support subcontractors, and uphold health and safety standards. A City & Guilds electrical qualification and strong IT skills are required.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in a commercial/FM environment.
• Familiar with building services systems incl. heating, chilled water, air distribution, domestic water, UPS and generators.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance in line with KPIs and SLAs, ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard.
• Diagnose faults, undertake electrical repairs, and support basic plumbing and fabric maintenance tasks where required.
• Maintain accurate records, certification, logbooks, and compliance documentation using company systems and procedures.
• Support subcontractor management activities, including reviewing RAMS, coordinating site access, and minimising disruption to the client.
• Promote health & safety compliance, identify defects and improvement opportunities, and provide operational support and reporting to management.

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

As the Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The Electrical Engineer, will be responsible for:

To be successful for this Electrical Engineer role you must have:

• Electrical qualification to City & Guilds Levels 1, 2 & 3 (or equivalent).
• Health & Safety qualification or certification.
• Experience delivering electrical maintenance within a commercial or facilities management environment.
• Good understanding of building services systems including heating, chilled water, air distribution, domestic water, UPS, and generator systems.
• IT proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
