Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Multi Skilled Electrician to join a leading facilities management and maintenance contractor in the UK. The role covers both planned and reactive FM maintenance across diverse sites, with emphasis on electrical and multi-disciplinary disciplines.

The successful candidate will deliver maintenance services, carry out essential testing, and work with subcontractors while adhering to safety standards and contractual timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical and multi-discipline maintenance including LV, lighting, fire alarms and emergency lighting.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Ability to work independently using own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive M&E maintenance services in line with contractual obligations.
• Carry out testing on emergency lighting (BS EN 5266), fixed wire testing (BS EN 7671) and lightning protection (BS EN 62305).
• Assist in supervising subcontractors and follow SSOW, policies and procedures.

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Electrician who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

As the Multi Skilled Electrician, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all day-to-day planned preventative maintenance activities of M&E maintenance is completed in line with contractual obligations.
• Ensure all plant and equipment are maintained in accordance with O&M manuals, best practice and relevant guidelines/legislation.
• Respond to reactive calls in line with contractual time scales and complete job sheets, reports and documentation as required.
• Carry out testing on emergency lighting systems (BS EN 5266), fixed wire testing (BS EN 7671), and lightning protection systems (BS EN 62305), rectifying faults where necessary.
• Assist in supervising subcontractors, carry out isolations, and follow SSOW, policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience of electrical and/or multi-disciplined maintenance, including LV, lighting, fire alarms, emergency lighting systems, nurse call, DHW, LTHW, and ventilation systems.
• Good interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail and experience in Health & Safety legislation.
• Ability to work independently using own initiative, with excellent customer awareness and team working skills.
