Job summary

Our client is a leading facilities management contractor in the UK seeking a Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team and support long-term project delivery.

You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance across electrical systems and building services, fault-find and repair distribution boards, motors, pumps and emergency lighting, plus assist with HVAC, plumbing and general fabric tasks. On-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
• 18th edition.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across electrical systems and building services.
• Fault-finding, diagnosis and repair of distribution boards, motors, pumps, BMS, emergency lighting and general electrical plant.
• Support mechanical tasks such as HVAC systems, pumps, valves, air handling units, basic plumbing and fabric works.
• Participate in the on-call rota.
• Demonstrate strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience within facilities/ commercial/ industrial environments.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671, technical standards and statutory requirements, with progress and documentation documented.

Role Responsibilities:

• You will be carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works across electrical systems and building services.
• Responsibilities include fault‑finding, diagnosis and repair of distribution boards, motors, pumps, building management systems, emergency lighting and general electrical plant.
• You will also support mechanical maintenance tasks such as HVAC systems, pumps, valves, air handling units, basic plumbing and basic fabric works.
• You will also be included in the on‑call rota.
• You will have strong electrical fault‑finding and maintenance experience, ideally gained within facilities management or commercial or industrial building services environments.
• All work must be completed in full compliance with BS 7671, technical standards and statutory requirements, with job progress and documentation accurately maintained.
