Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a large UK facilities management contractor for a Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer. Our client seeks a versatile engineer to join their team and support upcoming projects.

You will deliver both planned and reactive FM maintenance, including testing emergency lighting, fixed wire testing, and supervising subcontractors while adhering to SSOW and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical and/or multi-disciplined maintenance including LV, lighting, fire alarms, emergency lighting, nurse call, DHW, LTHW and ventilation.
• Good interpersonal skills with attention to detail and Health & Safety legislation.
• Ability to work independently using own initiative with strong customer awareness and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive FM maintenance services.
• Complete day-to-day planned preventive maintenance in line with contract obligations.
• Maintain plant and equipment per OM manuals, best practice and guidelines.

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

We are looking for an Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

As the Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer, will be responsible for:

• Ensure that all day-to-day planned preventative maintenance activities of M&E maintenance is completed in line with contractual obligations.
• Ensure all plant and equipment are maintained in accordance with O&M manuals, best practice and relevant guidelines/legislation.
• Respond to reactive calls in line with contractual time scales and complete job sheets, reports and documentation as required.
• Carry out testing on emergency lighting systems (BS EN 5266), fixed wire testing (BS EN 7671), and lightning protection systems (BS EN 62305), rectifying faults where necessary.
• Assist in supervising subcontractors, carry out isolations, and follow SSOW, policies and procedures at all times.

To be successful for this Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer role you must have:

• Previous experience of electrical and\/or multi-disciplined maintenance, including LV, lighting, fire alarms, emergency lighting systems, nurse call, DHW, LTHW, and ventilation systems.
• Good interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail and experience in Health & Safety legislation.
• Ability to work independently using own initiative, with excellent customer awareness and team working skills.
