Job summary

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSE) is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its Quality team. This role will drive continuous improvement, champion quality standards, and support efficient, compliant, and customer-focused services across a diverse project portfolio.

Lean Six Sigma experience is advantageous and collaboration with stakeholders is essential. You will identify risks, conduct quality reviews of quotations/designs, and help ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance while

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or an HNC with substantial industry knowledge in quality management or business improvement projects.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience producing reports and KPIs in a regulated industry; ability to present data to diverse audiences.
• Strong IT skills to analyse performance information and deliver presentations.

Responsibilities

• Identify quality, compliance, and operational risks and escalate issues with timely corrective actions.
• Review Engineering Connections quotations and designs for accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
• Support improvement of engineering processes to enhance quality and customer outcomes.
• Ensure quotations from the design team are compliant with standards and policies.
• Provide assurance that quality management processes are applied and support a culture of continuous improvement.
