Job summary

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Quality team. You will drive continuous improvement, champion quality standards and support efficient, compliant, customer-focused services across a diverse project portfolio.

The role involves identifying risks, conducting quality reviews and working with stakeholders to improve engineering processes. Lean Six Sigma experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering, or an HNC supported by significant industry knowledge and experience in quality management or business improvement projects.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; experience with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential quality, compliance and operational risks and ensure corrective actions are implemented within timescales.
• Conduct quality reviews of quotations and designs to meet standards and regulatory obligations.
• Support continual improvement of engineering processes to enhance quality and customer outcomes.
• Ensure quotations from the design team are accurate and aligned with policies and regulations.
• Provide assurance that quality management processes are applied across the business.
