Job summary

SER Limited is seeking a proactive Design Engineer to join a specialist team delivering Electrical Transmission and related sites across the UK. You will design LV/ELV systems, perform site surveys, and drive cradle-to-grave design activity from concept to handover.

The role demands hands-on design delivery, good communication, and collaboration with project teams. Hybrid work model and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience designing LV/ELV electrical systems in critical infra sectors.
• Proficiency with Amtech or ElectricalOM and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of 2D drawings and BIM/Revit experience preferred.
• Ability to produce detailed schedules (cable, load, material).
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Carry out surveys and produce LV/ELV electrical and security designs.
• Develop concept and detailed design packages for reviews.
• Manage designs from concept through to handover and commissioning.
• Create technical docs: single-line diagrams, block diagrams, schedules.
• Lead design change control and participate in risk reviews and HAZID/HAZCON.
