Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for a 12‑month contract based in Bristol. The role focuses on designing and optimizing bespoke electrical power systems to meet customer specifications.

You will liaise with multidisciplinary engineers and support manufacture and testing through delivery. Candidate should have extensive electrical design experience in Power Distribution Systems, knowledge of AC/DC distribution, and the ability to obtain Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Extensive electrical design experience in Power Distribution Systems and Equipment.
• Experience with 440V marine/naval environments (Class Society rules, IEC61439, Def Stans).
• Knowledge of AC and DC distribution systems and components.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and verify power distribution systems to meet specs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers for holistic design.
• Present technical information in design reviews.
• Support manufacture and testing through delivery.
• Travel to Rolls-Royce, customer and supplier sites as needed.
