Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer for a Manchester-based hybrid role in the power generation sector. You will design LV/HV networks, power generation and BESS systems, producing detailed drawings and technical documentation.

You will work with project teams, clients and DNOs to perform cable sizing, protection schemes and equipment specifications, with site visits to support development and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Updated knowledge of electrical design principles and standards.
• Experience with LV/HV networks or electrical distribution is preferred.
• Strong documentation and drawing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Design LV/HV networks, power generation and BESS electrical systems.
• Produce electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Develop LV/HV protection schemes and complete cable sizing calculations.
• Specify switchboards, transformers and associated electrical equipment.
• Liaise with clients, DNOs, suppliers and project teams throughout delivery.
