Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in power generation to join a hybrid Manchester team. You will design LV/HV networks, power generation and BESS-related systems, producing detailed drawings and technical specs, and liaising with clients and DNOs.

The role offers 45,000–55,000 GBP per year, private healthcare, 25 days holiday, life insurance, training and clear progression pathways.

Qualifications

• HND or above in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with power generation, LV/HV systems or electrical distribution.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; comfortable liaising with clients and DNOs.

Responsibilities

• Design LV/HV networks, power generation and BESS electrical systems.
• Produce electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Develop LV/HV protection schemes and cable sizing calculations.
• Specify switchboards, transformers and associated equipment.
• Liaise with clients, DNOs, suppliers and project teams throughout delivery.
