Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for our market-leading energy client in Manchester. You will lead mechanical design across CHP, Tri-Generation and BESS projects, producing specifications, P&IDs and process diagrams, while performing pipe sizing calculations and safety assessments.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with CHP, power generation, pipework and ventilation design.
• Knowledge of CDM and health & safety requirements.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 3D and Microsoft Office.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of energy projects from concept through commissioning and operation.
• Produce specifications, P&IDs, process flow diagrams and technical documentation.
• Carry out pipework and pump sizing calculations and safety assessments.
• Coordinate CAD design and liaise with clients, suppliers and project teams.
• Provide on-site technical support, surveys and troubleshooting.
